You've come to the right place! My name is Suzy Stevenson and I would
love to help get you started! First, some interesting facts about Alberta
and the mountains here😀
- Alberta is home to the Canadian Rockies, they also
spread into British Columbia.
- Mount Columbia (3,747 m (12,293 ft)) is the second-highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and is the highest mountain in Alberta.
- The glacier fed lakes are a variety of vibrant colors becasue the fine rock dust, produced by massive glaciers rubbing against bedrock, stays suspended in the water, reflecting light and creating the turquoise colours. The lakes are different colors depending on what glacier they are fed from.
